Outdoor Program
First Year Program Troop 496 strives to help all Scouts reach First Class Rank within the first 12 months after joining the Troop. Scouts learn all of the basic skills during this critical first year. | Emerging Leaders Scouts are emerging leaders after completing their first year in the program and/or after reaching First Class Rank. These Scouts build the leadership skills and gain critical outdoor experience. | Senior Scout Program Senior Scouts are encourage to challenge themselves both mentally and physically by participating in more advanced activities. |
Program Documents
Troop 496 conducts an extensive program for Scouts to learn important leadership and outdoor skills. For more than a century, these skills have been handed down to each successive group of Scouts who join the program.
